Functions
  • Ensure that all BTD’s own personnel, subcontractors, and external personnel comply with the safety, health and occupational hygiene plan.
  • Monitor compliance with labor standards.
  • Design and implement programs to control, eliminate and prevent illnesses or injuries caused by daily tasks.
  • Coordinate formations related to occupational health.
  • Order suspension for activities that pose a threat to workers’ health or safety.
  • Supervise compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Management of transit permitions and updated inventory and stock of PPE.
  • Signaling traffic within and on the project area.
  • Conduct monthly occupational health and safety talks and occupational health and safety workshops.
  • Follow-up meetings with the client.
  • Train and raise awareness among personnel on safe work practices.
  • Evaluate and properly select personal protective equipment (PPE) to be used by workers on site.
Requirements
  • University degree in Risk Prevention Engineering or equivalent, or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Five (5) years of general experience in charge of health and safety in civil infrastructure projects.
  • At least 1 year in sanitary and/or pluvial sewage projects with a minimum amount of US$7,000,000.00.
  • Qualification resolution required.
  • Availability: Full time
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Leader, dynamic, independent and good team player.
  • Good presence and presentation, for external attention.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
