Functions
- Ensure that all BTD’s own personnel, subcontractors, and external personnel comply with the safety, health and occupational hygiene plan.
- Monitor compliance with labor standards.
- Design and implement programs to control, eliminate and prevent illnesses or injuries caused by daily tasks.
- Coordinate formations related to occupational health.
- Order suspension for activities that pose a threat to workers’ health or safety.
- Supervise compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Management of transit permitions and updated inventory and stock of PPE.
- Signaling traffic within and on the project area.
- Conduct monthly occupational health and safety talks and occupational health and safety workshops.
- Follow-up meetings with the client.
- Train and raise awareness among personnel on safe work practices.
- Evaluate and properly select personal protective equipment (PPE) to be used by workers on site.
Requirements
- University degree in Risk Prevention Engineering or equivalent, or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Five (5) years of general experience in charge of health and safety in civil infrastructure projects.
- At least 1 year in sanitary and/or pluvial sewage projects with a minimum amount of US$7,000,000.00.
- Qualification resolution required.
- Availability: Full time
